Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist

I was born in Illinois, raised in Michigan, and received my education in Minnesota and Missouri. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall Minnesota, my first Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth Minnesota, and finally my second Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Cox College in Springfield Missouri.

I began my career as an occupational therapist in 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic was sweeping the globe and taking the healthcare system by storm. Suffice to say it was quite a unique time to become a therapist.

I met my wife, Callie, in occupational therapy school. We were classmates who became close friends, started dating, and are now married. She is also a practicing occupational therapist, and we greatly enjoy the unique opportunity to share the same career and learn from each other as we go along. We now live in the Little Rock area with our two cats, a tortoiseshell cat named Rei and an orange tabby cat named Clyde.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, running outside, walking and hiking with my wife, spending time with our friends, playing video games on my PC, and listening to audiobooks. My preferred reading genres are science fiction, fantasy, history, philosophy, and economics.

I’m also a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo, and a brown belt in Hapkido. I began studying martial arts when I was 4 years old and volunteered as an assistant instructor when I was a teenager. I taught classes of anywhere from 3 to 50 people as part of my own development as a martial artist. My training in martial arts helped me not only develop my physical abilities, but also my strength of mind, will, and character. I would not be the same man I am today without this experience.
