I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Central Arkansas. I have been a practicing SLP for more years than I care to mention if I am being honest! I spent the last 27 years working with medically complex children with severe to profound intellectual developmental delays. When I decided to make a change, Hippos and Fish had an opening and I knew immediately that I wanted to join this team. I love the functional therapy that takes place in the clinic. The collaboration and teamwork between the Speech, OT, and PT staff really enhances the services we provide to these amazing kids. I live with my husband Mike and our 5 Australian Shepherds. I aspire to get one of them certified through Therapy Dogs International. I got my first pony at the age of three and I have been hooked ever since! We currently have 3 horses. How these animals affect children with special needs is amazing.
